CAD & BIM Manager | Civil Engineer or Architect  

Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership

• Provide Technical Leadership through maintaining up to date knowledge of design software developments and end Lead Office requirements.
• Maintaining an in-depth and up-to-date understanding of the Lead Office businesses, their drivers and be able to build rapport and establish respect and trust.
• Using technical knowledge and experience to provide input and competitive focus during the bid process.
• Providing technical expertise and overview through technical decision-making and provide alternatives options/solutions if there are changes to project objectives.
• Providing reassurance, confidence and a sense of direction to both internal Lead Offices and project team members.
• Assisting in the development of Manila talent through coaching, mentoring, and encouraging innovation and entrepreneurial thinking and the drive to exceed our internal and external Lead Office’s expectations.
• Ensuring implementation of health and safety in all aspects of design and operations.

Operational management

• Building effective and enduring relationships with Lead Offices.
• Using understanding of the technical challenges and Lead Office requirements to form the most effective delivery teams..
• Working with Lead Offices to ensure clear understanding of project scope, objectives, delivery program and budgets and to develop current protocols for working together.
• To provide input into the bidding process for Lead Office, ensuring visibility of the opportunities pipeline.
• Communicating with team members to ensure that they understand, and become engaged with, the project strategy, scope, brief, budget and project requirements/expectations.
• Carry out regular Project Reviews to ensure the health of the projects, providing technical leadership and overview as required.
• Measure Earned Value on each project as part of the Project Reviews, both during the project and after completion, to become a trusted internal business partner, promoting value-added technical solutions.
• Championing the involvement and inclusion of the GEC’s by ensuring that staff understand the benefits and requirement of the inclusion of the GEC’s as a seamless part of our service offering.
• Seeking and documenting regular feedback from Lead Offices on the quality of Manila performance, technical solutions and delivery and advise on the appropriate mitigation as required.
• Performing other duties and responsibilities as required from time to time by your manager or Arcadis.

• Bachelor's/College degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture or related degree.
• Licensed or Chartered Engineer or Architect with minimum experience of 15 yrs. in Civil Engineering design works for Infrastructures and Urban Building projects.
• With proven experience in managing CAD teams & BIM (Revit) teams.
• With relevant experience as CAD & BIM manager for design projects involving Highway/Road, Drainage, Bridge and Building Projects in Asia, Australia and/or US, UK.
• Excellent English communication and presentation skills;
• Filipino or other foreign Nationalities (expats) currently residing or working in the Philippines, or willing to relocate to Makati City are welcome to apply.

Other Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum 15 years experience in Architecture or Civil engineering works design field.
• Extensive working knowledge of Australian civil CAD drafting standards and other standards such as US, UK and Asia
• High level working knowledge of CAD software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation etc.
• High level working knowledge of BIM software and processes an advantage.
• Recognised technical leader in the field.
• Proven ability to network and influence at a peer level.
• Well-developed commercial skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship building skills, both internally and externally.
• Experience working in Manila an advantage.
