Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

A. UTILITY MAINTENANCE

  • Implement projects such as mechanical works, electrical works, plumbing works, and fire protection.
  • Supervises and monitors all maintenance works under utilities and facilities.
  • Responds to pumps, motors, storage facilities, and other plant facilities breakdowns.
  • Prepares and reviews existing and proposed a standard operating procedure of preventive, corrective and breakdown maintenance of the facilities.
  • Inspects and assures all contracted works and corrective maintenance tasks.
  • Directs first response to a request for service, ascertaining the seriousness of call and appropriate level of response.
  • Organizes, reviews, and schedules daily utilities operation work.
  • Efficiently coordinates the workflow and documentation of urgent/process critical alarms.
  • Ensures safety work environment is maintained through adherence to safety guidelines and policies.
  • Schedule utility downtimes to minimize disruption of services.
  • Plans and undertakes scheduled maintenance and responds to breakdowns.
  • Performs troubleshooting on utilities to solve repair issues.
  • Supervises engineering and technical staff.
  • Maintains statistical and financial records.
  • Ensuring that facilities meet government regulation, environmental health, and safety standard.
  • Creates maintenance procedures and manages stocks of supplies and equipment.
  • Inspecting AIEC warehouses to determine the need for repair and renovation.
  • Assign/daily/weekly/monthly preventive maintenance system of Sewerage Treatment Plant (STP), Cistern Tank, Pump Room, and other operational facilities.
  • Provide technical support to the construction team in every project.
  • Supervises handyman's daily work assignment.
  • performs other tasks that may be assigned.

B. POLLUTION CONTROL OFFICER (PCO) & ESH OFFICER

  • Attends to requirements of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), Environmental Management Bureau (EMB) prior to the construction or installation of Pollution Control Facilities including the application.
  • Secure necessary pollution permits and renewal thereof.
  • Monitor activities pertaining to the installation or construction of Pollution Source and Control Facilities with the end in view of ensuring their compliance with the air, noise, and water quality standard.
  • Supervises the proper operation and maintenance of Pollution Control Facilities.
  • Reports within a reasonable time to the EMB the breakdown of any Pollution Control Facilities and the estimated and actual date of completion/repair and operation.
  • Attends the meeting for PCO, which may from time to time be called by EMB and other agencies.
  • Arranges with sub-contractors regarding the sampling requirements and establish a schedule for the activity.
  • Ensures company generated wastes are properly disposed of; secure Certificate of Treatment of Hazardous waste.
  • Identifies all applicable Environmental Legal and other requirements; conducts periodic evaluation; secure copies from related agencies.
  • Ensures on-time submission of quarterly Self-Monitoring Report to Ecology Center.
  • Conducts audit and evaluation to Waste Hauler, Transporter, and Treater.
  • Generates audit report and analysis of all functions involved in Environmental Management System (EMS).
  • Performs the function of Internal Environmental Auditor Coordinator; gather Audit Report Results.
  • Coordinates with relevant personnel (Management and rank and file) whose responsibility and accountability into the environmental aspect is needed to improve the environmental awareness of relevant sections/groups.
  • Conducts planned and unplanned audit to check that all environmental procedures are being followed and if registered and unregistered documents are properly used as a means of monitoring the ISO 14001-2004 compliance.
  • Checks all records that are controlled and maintained by the department related to the environment.
  • Creates, checks and revises procedures related to environmental regulations.
  • Performs other tasks that may be assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Preferably a resident of Panabo City, Davao del Norte.
  • Candidate must be a licensed Mechanical Engineer or Electrical Engineer.
  • Preferably with 2-3 years in project management and utility maintenance.
  • With knowledge in project supervision, estimates, reports, and AUTOCARDS
  • Possesses strong mechanical knowledge and skills on utility equipment.
  • Ability to work with multiple discipline projects and proven working experience.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
