Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities
- Take change of overall planning of library of library activities.
- Catalogue and classify books and all reading materials.
- Index periodicals according to generally accepted system.
- Supervise Clerk in attending to the needs of the students.
- Coordinate with the Principal and Teachers on reading materials required by the library.
- Check and update local and international subscription of periodicals, magazines, and books.
- Record incoming books, newspapers, and magazines daily for inventory purposes.
- Receive and inspect incoming reading materials for defects.
- Acknowledge receipts of items found in good order.
- Research newspaper clippings for reference purposes.
- Make requisitions for maintenance services.
- Do inventory of books annually.
- Prepare reports regarding status of library.
- Perform other related duties as may be assigned by the superior.
Minimum Qualifications
- Completed Bachelor's degree of Library Science and with license (Licensed Librarian).
- At least 18 months of work experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
- Fresh graduates are also encouraged to apply.
- Willing to start ASAP.
