Job Description

Background:

Algoritma was founded to make data science accessible to everybody. We organize programming workshops and data science bootcamps that adopt a learn-by-building approach suited to beginners and non-programmers.

Our Data Science Bootcamp is a bundle of courses curated to accelerate a student’s mastery in building data products, developing machine learning models, and understanding the core components that form the most of industrial-grade AI today.

Throughout the bootcamp, our students learn to build, evaluate, and deploy data science products, one project after another. Upon graduation, our team of career support executives and mentors assist them in the path of a data science role in a reputable company.

Algoritma is looking for a Corporate Development Intern which will be assigned under the Business Development Department of Algoritma.

Job Summary:

As a Corporate Development Intern, you will be actively building a relationship and partnership with corporates, B2B, or startups in the Regional area. Your communication ability is needed for business promotion and client pitching and supporting the corporate sales team in identifying, pursuing, and closing sales opportunities with business clients.

During the internship period, you will be working closely with the Business Development Head, Corporate Sales, Project Manager and collaborating with a team of Data Science instructors and Finance on a day-to-day basis.

This is a paid internship position with the potential for promotion to a full-time role upon successful completion of the internship. If you have a passion for Business Development and are looking to gain valuable experience in these fields, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities:

  • Prospecting potential clients: You will conduct research to identify potential clients and create a target list of companies to reach out to.
  • Contacting potential clients: You will reach out to potential clients via phone, email, or other communication channels to introduce our products or services and generate interest.
  • Presenting the benefits and features of the company's products or services to potential customers, and addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
  • Supporting the sales process: You will assist the sales team in preparing proposals and contracts, answering client questions, and following up on leads.
  • Negotiating pricing and contract terms with customers, and closing deals. – Ensure that contracts are signed and billed.
  • Sell corporate packages according to their needs.
  • Providing support to the sales team: You will provide general support to the sales team as needed, including administrative tasks and other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Fresh graduate or last semester Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience major in Business Administration, Management, Communication or any related fields.
  • GPA min. 3.5
  • Having experience in campus organizational/student exchange/relevant BD internship would be a plus.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills as well as a deep understanding of the company's products and the industry in which it operates.
  • Demonstrated strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Initiative and attention to detail.
  • Strong interest in the discourse around technology, startups, data science.
  • High integrity, strong in multitasking, good problem solving (critical, strategic and evaluative thinking), time management, and able to work independently or within a team.
  • Proactive, flexible, and be willing to take on any project and deliver on time, large or small - including setting up for events and cleaning as needed.
