Job Description
Basic Function
- Assist in day to day systems operation issues.
- Assist in providing technical guidance to desktop engineers in resolving end user issues.
- Perform daily monitoring and ensure the uptime and availability of all servers and system services.
Essential Functions
- Participate in incident and outage troubleshooting call and resolution.
- Assist in identifying the cause of the outage and providing necessary preventive actions.
- Identify and present necessary changes based on the operations and systems requirements.
- Assist in maintaining the availability and uptime of all servers and system services.
- Assist in maintaining the desktop and server compliance level identified on the corporate level.
- Coordinate with other members of systems team for assistance and some support on operational issues.
- Perform systems changes as required based on operation requirement and system enhancements.
- Coordination with vendor for requirements and other support concerns
Minimum Qualifications
- Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s / College Degree of Computer Science / Engineering or any related course.
- Microsoft Certification / ITIL Certification is desirable.
- Other IT Certifications is desirable.
- Work Experience Requirements
- At least 10 years of IT experience. Preferably currently employed as Supervisor / Team Leader / Assistant Manager position.
- Has working experience on a BPO environment.
- Experience working in a multinational company.
- Has at least 8 years of experience managing Windows 2008 / Windows 2012 / Linux servers in a production environment.
- Experience in installation, administration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting of Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Has experienced managing HP / DELL / Cisco server hardware and other server technologies.
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of windows services and roles like DHCP, AD, DNS, GPO, and WDS.
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of backup technologies and applications.
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of storage and virtualization technology especially VMWare.
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of web proxy and web filtering technologies.
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of Microsoft products like SCCM, SCOM, Exchange and Lync.
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of endpoint security applications like Anti-virus, DLP and the likes.
- Intermediate scripting skills like VBScript, Batch File, PowerShell.,
- Willing to work on graveyard, shifting, and extended shifts.
- Willing to work in Mall of Asia, Pasay City
