Job Description
- In charge of enforcing deadlines and providing schedules for everyone involved in production both for print and online, to make sure that the editorial calendar is being implemented; thus, providing efficient deadlines for all writers, suppliers, and contributors;
- Assists in providing visual aids, presentations, collaterals and pegs for the magazine (in cooperation with the creative department);
- Relays functions and requirements to the layout team in accordance to the editorial requirements;
- Organize, update and maintain office files related to the editorial production.
- Carry out creative and journalistic content-related tasks, from conceptualization to final proofing for printing, down to editing, writing, shoot supervising, interviewing, and layout reviewing.
- Keep himself updated with the changes in publishing methods with the publisher in an effort to determine which types of new practices or procedures will work and how they can be implemented.
- Develop and keep track of a unified storage of presentations, materials on marketing and communications so that internal functional groups can easily access to. In addition, the Editor will assist in marketing the products to create pitches in order to attract more paying clients.
- Handle financial accounts such as billing, making expense reports and documentation related to editorial procedures.
- Handle and organize brainstorming sessions and meetings for a variety of one-offs for clients as well as the magazine and the website. This will entail the editor to keep its staff and contributors to be creatively engaged during this whole production process.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must have Editorial Management experience for at least 1 year.
- Has worked for other publications in the Philippines.
- Must be very passionate about food and food writing.
