Job Description
- Maintains original books of accounts and assist in the preparation of financial reports.
- Analyzes financial statement items with material changes/movements from comparative figures and/or from budgeted figures, and prepares summarized reports.
- Regularly prepares and analyzes Statement of Charges and Credits from various affiliated companies prior to preparation of inter-company reconciliation of balances and other accounts as required.
- Ensures proper charges/credits to balance sheet/income accounts.
- Maintains an orderly record of company fixed assets, investments, receivables, deposits, payables and others.
- Prepares monthly statement of charges and credits to affiliated companies; statements of accounts and monitors the prompt settlement thereof.
- Ensures timely payment of municipal taxes, contractors’ tax, expanded withholding tax, percentage tax, VAT and other taxes due to the government including e-filing and e-payment, SAWT and relief to BIR
- Prepares quarterly Income Tax Return and ensures payment of taxes due thereon if any.
- Analyzes bank statements and prepares monthly bank reconciliation statements on a regular basis.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by the Senior Accountant and or Accounting Head.
- Assists in the preparation of annual financial budget and providing them with financial data, reports, statistics, or analysis as required.
- Monitors and sets up accruals.
- Conducts periodic physical inventory or as required.
- Prepares Withholding Tax Certificates for various contractors and suppliers.
- Prepares annual registration, community tax, clearance, and others and ensures that these are accomplished/paid on time.
- Prepares schedules as required by government agencies.
Minimum Qualifications
- College degree in Accounting.
- Three years experience in accounting operations
- Must be a PA, proficient in the preparation of financial statements and accounting reports, and with knowledge on microcomputers
