Job Description
- Will be doing Unix and Linux System security tasks, understand the threats and protection methods, Basic Service security, Cryptography, logging and NTP, Bind and DNS security, Network authentication (PRC, NIS, and kerberos, Securing NFS (openSSH, Sendmail, FTP, Postfix, Securing Apache and Intrusion detection and recovery.
- Will do analyzing and data evaluating, general tuning, hardware and software profiling, large memory workload tuning, Tuning for CPU bound applications, File server Tuning, Database server tuning, power and virtualization tuning.
Minimum Qualifications
- 5 - 7 Years in UNIX Infrastructure
- Knowledgeable in technical identification
- LDAP Updating LDAP files, LDAP installation, searching and modifying the LDAP Directory, Centralized, centralized user authentication with LDAP
- Configuration and troubleshooting, VAS, Granting scudo access, basic configuration for directory server, directory server - Authentication and security, Authentication with NSS and PAM, Kerberos and LDAP and directory referral s and replication
- Knowledgeable in technical Connect - Direct
- Overview, Command Line Interface, Install and Upgrade, Common Takes
- Knowledgeable in Linux Performance
- Basic Analysis and data evaluation, general tuning, hardware and software profiling, large memory workload tuning, Tuning for CPU bound applications, File server Tuning, Database server tuning, power and virtualization tuning
- Knowledgeable in Linux Admin
- RHEL Kickstart Process, Linux Udey, Device Mapper Multipathing, Logical Volume Management, Kickstart troubleshooting, Static Mirroring, Managing partitions and file system , Tuning and Maintaining the kernel, System recovery techniques, Software and hardware management, Managing installed services, managing process, network monitoring, routing, securing network traffic and configuring NFS, CIFS, TFP.
- Knowledgeable in Linux Security
- Unix and Linux System security tasks, Understanding threats and protection methods, Basic Service security, Cryptography, logging and NTP, Bind and DNS security, Network authentication (PRC, NIS, and kerberos, Securing NFS (openSSH, Sendmail, FTP, Postfix, Securing Apache and Intrusion detection and recovery
- Knowledgeable in Scripting - Develop and maintain ksh and perl scripts that are employees for system tasks and automation
- Knowledgeable in Storage Presentation
- dNFS, HLDM, Veritas Volume Management
- Knowledgeable in Storage
- NetApp support (Common Tasks), NetApp Commands, Managing the ERP SAN Storage and Snap Manager for Oracle
- Knowledgeable in VMWare
- VMware INfrastructure, VMware Console (Access, Navigation, Tasks/Event, alarms, Performance and overview of Unix Resources), Vistrual Servcer Change/Updgrade, VMware Restore and Creating VMware Templates
- Knowledge in ITSM - Remedy 7.6 - IM: Process Overview, Creating Incident and Change Management
- Have strong oral and communication skills
- Good in analytics and have strong teamwork and customer engagement skills
- Willing to work on any shift
- Enjoy working in workplace with a diverse environment
- Amenable to take part in Team's on call rotation
