Job Description
- Supervises the Finance & Accounting Department
- Manages the investment portfolio and raises additional/new financing when necessary, with a view to optimize capital structure, minimize cost of funds and maximize returns
- Oversees financial planning, budget and forecasting, cash management, financial and management reporting, and internal audit functions at group level
- Monitors the group’s long-term strategic plan and financial forecast, and keeps organization on track towards fulfillment of the group’s target revenues, operating costs, profitability, and capital requirements
- Monitors the fulfillment of each subsidiary’s target revenues, cost and profitability
- Guides the improvement and implementation of an appropriate system of policies, internal controls, accounting standards and procedures in accordance with corporate financial regulation
- Compile and prepare periodic financial reports which include monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on a timely basis
- Liaises with external auditors and government agencies (e.g., SEC, BIR, LGUs) on financial reports required from the group and any audits that may be conducted on such reports
- Provide advice on financial and accounting implications of critical or strategic issues and other corporate actions including investments
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and CPA required
- MBA and/or MA strongly preferred
- 10+ years of broad finance experience
- Preferably with experience leading in audit firms
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Analytical thinker with keen attention to details
- Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems
- Knowledge of local financial regulations
- Ability and desire to optimize business processes and use of information systems
- Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects
- Commitment to recruiting, mentoring, training and retaining a diverse team; the foresight and ability to delegate accordingly
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Customer centric; excellent interpersonal skills
