Job Description

“Acadsoc 1-to-1 Online English Tutoring Service” is currently attracting more than 600,000 unique visitors per month with more than 400,000 registered users since August 2014, and it has made Acadsoc one of the largest 1-to-1 online ESL provider in China.

“Acadsoc Studying Abroad Service” has been sending hundreds of students to study in the TOP schools in US and UK. It has associated with more than 80 schools in UK and 60 schools in US.

“Acadsoc International School·Online” is currently providing American elementary education courses to Chinese K12 students to introduce more advanced education resource into China.

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

As a HR Specialist, he/she will be reporting to the Office Manager coordinate with the Direct Supervisor in performing his/her duties.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • All HR processes are in place
  • Recruitment of Online English Teachers for the PH Office
  • Keeping employee files complete and updated
  • Management of all HR documentations
  • Adherence to PH Labor Laws

DUTIES

ADMIN TASKS:

  • Assist HR Manager in managing, maintaining, and updating all master and employee files (soft and hard copies)
  • Addressing any employment relations issues, such as work complaints and harassment allegations
  • Explaining human resources policies, procedures, laws, and standards to new and existing employees.

RECRUITMENT TASKS:

  • Responsible for creating and placing job posts to visiting job fairs to find the right candidate.
  • Responsible for screening resumes determining which candidates meet the minimum requirements.
  • Responsible for conducting initial interviews, which are then used to narrow the number of potential candidates who will be interviewed by the hiring manager.
  • Responsible for conducting reference checks by verifying employment information and contacting the professional and personal contacts provided by the candidate.
  • Collaborates with trainers and managers to keep track of the hiring status of applicants.

PERCENTAGE OF TIME

  • 50% Admin Tasks,
  • 50% Recruitment Tasks

PERFORMANCE STANDARDS

ATTENDANCE (Planned or Unplanned absences) : 20%

EFFICIENCY and EFFECTIVITY (Ability to accomplish tasks in a given period of time): 20%

EMPLOYEE RELATION (Ability to answer employee queries effectively – Capacity to handle employee issues and working it out promptly): 30%

RECRUITMENT PRODUCTIVITY (Ability to meet 20 hires per month): 30%

Minimum Qualifications

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • With at least 3 yrs. experience in HR and recruitment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong decision-making skills
  • PC literacy and experience with MS Office applications Excellent organizational and time-management skills

  • Bachelor Degree, preferably BS/AB Psychology, Human Resource Management or its equivalent
