Job Description

Supervise, delegate and monitor all units under him with the objective of ensuring efficient kitchen operations

Duties and Responsibilities:

In charge of kitchen operations of Restaurant 9501, Cafe Espresse, Catering and reserved functions
In charge in food preparation for Food Festivals/promotions
Plan and direct food preparation and culinary activities
Modify menus or create new ones that meet quality standards
Estimate food requirements and food/labor costs
Manages food and product ordering by keeping detailed records and minimizes waste and reduction and manage budgetary concerns
Ensures a first-in, first-out food rotation system and verifies all food products are properly dated and organized for quality assurance
To undertake staff briefing with all team members at the start of their working day
Maintains a safe and hygienic kitchen environment
Conducts annual appraisals to ensure continued staff development and training
To conduct and take active part in the training of staff, participate in the staff meetings to help identify training needs of all staff within line of responsibility on both an individual and group basis

Minimum Qualifications

A degree in Culinary Arts
7 years previous work related experience required
Computer literate
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to direct and supervise
Ability to work in a team fostered environment
Ability to work in a multi-tasked environment and must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines required
Ability to prioritize and organize work
Must demonstrate excellence in time management skills
Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communications skills
