Job Description
The Section Editor will directly report to the Editor-in-Chief and shall be responsible for the following tasks:
- Conceptualize fashion and beauty features and stories, all of which are in line with the magazine's brand essence and direction.
- Present ideas for fashion and beauty stories with visual pegs at monthly editorial brainstorming meetings.
- Follow up with designers and retailers in facilitating approval for pull-out requests; and to oversee booking of models, photographers, make-up artists, and stylists required for the shoot.
- Coordinate and schedule photoshoots related to the assigned sections.
- Provide and develop a network of contacts that will give the magazine market leadership.
- Attend and represent the magazine in events, conferences, etc.
- Contribute content for the magazine's digital properties.
- Submit all assigned works/ projects on time.
Minimum Qualifications
- A graduate of a 4-year Bachelor's/College Degree course in Mass Communication, Journalism, and any course equivalent.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Comfortable working in a team-fostered environment.
- Able to multitask and organize priorities.
- Fresh grads are welcome to apply.
