Job Description
Position Summary:
The Metadata Writer is in-charge of the metadata development and creation of episode synopsis, & segment and story highlights of assigned programs and content if Integrated News and published on various digital platforms, including, but not limited to, Newspedia.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Previews program episodes and verifies information for each episode
- Fills out all needed metadata fields in the archiving system
- Creates episodes synopsis, segment and story highlights/clip log lines, and English/Filipino log lines based on the episode previewed
- Consults/checks various sources to determine accuracy of metadata provided for each episode
- Provides Keywords and tags on various News content
- Assists in AI integration and Machine Learning processes
Minimum Qualifications
- College Graduate (4-year course)
- Journalism, Literature, Mass Communication or any related course preferred
- Can work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Keen with details
- Flexible and can work with minimum supervision
- Willing to be trained, coached and corrected
Technical Skills Required:
- With excellent command of the English grammar/language
- Cataloging/Archiving
- Must pass the copy test for Metadata Writer post
