Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY: The Quality Assurance (QA) and Publishing Specialist is responsible for assuring the quality and timely publishing to ABS-CBN News sites, digital platforms for video, image and social platforms of content (such as text, video, image, web scripts approved by editors of ABS-CBN News Digital Media using tools such as but not limited to current web content management and news automation systems and social platforms.

Ensures all published content adheres to the highest standards of content publishing and are free from technical errors
Responsible for timely upload of approved content to ABS-CBN News sites, digital platforms for video, image and social platforms
Cutting of video clips, and optimization and processing of images for use in online platforms of ABS-CBN News
Ensures that content published are based on prescribed quality and technical requirements for digital and Web publishing and adhere to professional and ethical standards set by ABS-CBN News
Assist in creation, design and develop sites, special pages, microsites, feeds and other components of online properties of ABS-CBN News
Assist in providing technical reports involving online platforms, utilized by ABS-CBN News and in the coordination of resolution of issues, errors and problems

Minimum Qualifications

Be at least a holder of Bachelor's/College Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology, Journalism, Mass Communications or equivalent
Have a basic knowledge of Web front end design and Web programming languages such as HTML and CSS
Has experience using Web content management system
Be adept at basic video and audio editing and image optimization
Have keen interest in news and journalism
Can work fast but maintain accuracy; good attitude in coordination and follows approved processes and requirements
At least 1 year of working experience in front-end development is desired.
Knowledge in javascript and ASP.net is a plus
Experience in creating web interactive applications is a plus.
