Supervising Social Worker  

Position Summary

Primarily responsible for the holistic and effective implementation of the programs and services for the clients admitted to the Children’s Village.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

Protective Services

1. Prepare and implement the annual plan and budget for the social services of the CV
2. Ensure implementation of an effective and efficient case management system in the CV
3. Monitor movement of cases, ensuring time-bound case management of children
4. Ensure availability of updated case load inventory and conduct of monthly case load review
5. Create and recommend helping strategies to improve rehabilitation services of CV
6. Review all documents pertaining to the client’s need for assistance and recommend approval/ disapproval
7. Oversee the schedules and emergency consultations of all children
8. Coordinate with the appropriate organizations and agencies in providing high quality social protection and child welfare services
9. Conduct an evaluation of programs and activities along social services as part of the rehabilitation plan
10. Submit monthly report or as may be required

Staff Supervision

1. Conduct regular supervisory conference for staff development and case management for better program implementation
2. Execute and implement policies and programs and render administrative decisions on matters within the limits of delegated authority

Administrative

1. Act as Executive on-duty to oversee the CV operations during night time

Policy/System Compliance

1. Implement appropriate systems/procedures in the performance of duties and responsibilities
2. Ensure adherence to ALKFI’s Vision-Mission-Values, and compliance with ALKFI/HRD/CV policies, systems, rules and regulations
3. Ensure the implementation of performance planning, monitoring and evaluation, and personnel development planning in the Department

Knowledge

• Government laws/rulings/issuance relevant to BB operations
• UNCRC and Pertinent Laws and Jurisprudence on the Rights and Welfare of a Child, Special Protection of Children (RA 7610 and 7658)
• Social Work Concepts, Principles, Ethics, and Functions
• Case Management
• Child Development
• Dynamics of Victims of Abuse/Violence
• Gender Dynamics and Issues
• Paralegal counseling
• Monitoring and Evaluation tools
• Computer applications (Work, Excel, PowerPoint)

Experience/Educational Attainment:

• Bachelor of Science in Social Work
• Undertaken trainings in Paralegal work, Gender Sensitivity, Positive Discipline, Psychosocial and Support interventions for Abused Children
• With valid Social Work license
• At least two years of relevant case management and supervisory experience

Skills:

• Proficient in both verbal and written communication
• Internal relations
• Strong coordination and project management
• Supervision in Social Work
• Strong proficiency in budget management and reporting
• Counseling

Others:

• Willing to be assigned at Norzagaray, Bulacan.
• Willing to work in a project-based status of employment
