Job Description

Position Summary
Primarily responsible for developing and ensuring implementation of long-term and short-term strategies for the Building Sustainable Community Program, which aims to create positive impact in select communities through sustainable and impactful developmental interventions. Responsible for co-developing appropriate reports, templates, and measurement tools to monitor and evaluate the impact of ABS-CBN public service interventions.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides overall leadership and management for the Area Development
    • Develop and implement overall strategy, framework, and processes
    • Manage, track, and utilize budget and resources across all internal public service projects within the Area Development program
  • Plans, designs, and implements initiatives, projects, and activities for all targeted areas and communities. Scope of work includes:
    • Identification of priority areas
    • Entry (ex. scoping, contracting, forming partnerships, gathering data, etc.)
    • Implementation
    • Monitoring & Evaluation
    • Exit
  • Performs the integrative role in ensuring synergy across various internal public service groups and initiatives, coordinates various internal groups' initiatives and its interdependencies, and aligns all deliverables to expected overall program outcome
  • Develop stakeholders' map for clear role delineations and defining interests of each stakeholder
  • Develops strong program control measures and policies to establish accountability and transparency in all transactions and compliance of all stakeholders
  • Leads research and data-gathering on priority communities; set up tools and standards for program management to determine community context, requirements, and needs.
  • Builds and manages partnerships with internal and external organizations (community-based organizations, government, non-government organizations, institutions, and other members of the private sector) as needed in the accomplishment of area development goals
  • Together with internal public service leads, co-develops the appropriate reports, templates, and measurement tools to monitor and to evaluate the impact of ABS-CBN public service interventions
  • Tracks key performance indicators and reportorial requirements of internal public service groups and Area Development outputs and outcomes
  • Provides manpower complement in the implementation of internal public service programs events, when needed
  • Ensures staff compliance with PMS requirements, implements appropriate courses of action/interventions to improve/sustain manpower/organizational productivity, and implements various organizational development initiatives to build/strengthen the team
  • Performs other duties, as assigned

Problem Solving and Decision Making

  • Ability to identify issues, analyze and participate in the resolution of community development issues/problems; Able to adapt to frequent changes in the workload; Able to work independently with minimal guidance

Minimum Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • At least 10 years of experience, combined direct practice and supervisory, in community development and mobilization;
  • A graduate of Bachelor of Science in Social Work, Community Development, Social Sciences, or other related discipline
  • Extensive experience on program management
  • Proficiency in program and project management methodologies
  • Strong knowledge and experience in the use of various toolds to aid program management

Skills:

  • Technical Skills: Handling complex projects, strategic planning, budgeting, project management, time management, presentation skills; leadership skills; community development; community organizing; program and project design and development; research; organization development; stakeholder engagement, volunteer management
  • Computer skills: MS office
  • Communication: Highly proficient in written and spoken English and Filipino
  • Experience in grant writing is a bonus
