Job Description
Mission of the Function:
- The Logistics/Importation Specialist tracks the flow of materials and supplies from vendors. He also deals with with transactions, coordinates and documents processes which may be required in the importation of products necessary for the construction of the project.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinates the interface between logistics functions such as procurement, transportation, and warehousing to ensure efficient and timely delivery of items needed for the construction of the project
- Ensures compliance with procedures, integrity of property accountability to the degree to which requirements are satisfied, and compatibility of local supply information and inventory records
- Coordinates and controls the order cycle and associated information systems
- Prepares and manages the logistics system to optimize time management
- Plans and manages the movement of freight and coordinates with suppliers and distributors to ensure smooth transition
- Reviews all reports related to shipments
- Records and maintains an accurate log of all shipment activities
- Coordinates with the local government unit for traffic disruptions
- Checks the transportation plan and coordinates with DPWH, LGU for the recommended road/bridge capacity and route schedules for the safe passage of shipments
- Performs other related tasks and functions as may be assigned from time to time.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduate of a 4-year course, preferrably in Business
- With at least 5 years experience in Logistics
- Keen to details
- Excellent in monitoring and reporting skills
- Excellent communication skills both in oral and written
- Knowledge in shipment processes both local and overseas
- Knowledge in order processing
