Information Technology (IT) Network Administrator | Cebu  

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for administering and monitoring the Thermal group’s network to ensure stable operation of the organization's network systems, and hardware. This position is responsible for the deployment and security of the infrastructure including configuration and support of network servers, network security, mobility, and optimization. The Network Administrator also ensures the appropriate availability and provisioning of network resources in a virtual server environment and associated storage.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensures the secure day-to-day operation and administration of computer networks. This includes planning, developing, patching, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all network hardware, software, and communication links.
• Perform network documentations and compliance to group wide IT security minimum standards.
• Perform firewall management and configurations of policies, object, updates, routing.
• Configure and maintain telephony backend configurations (i.e., GSM Gateway, FXO Gateway, CME & 3CX Backend)
• Respond to network support problems, analyze and determine appropriate solutions within deadlines.
• Configure routing and ACL’s.(i.e. OSPF e1 & e2, Link security(IPsec), OMP, Route advertisement & Static Routing) via SD WAN.
• Perform design of network diagrams and planning of network communication systems, including business continuity plans and disaster recovery plans.
• Conducts network and telephony maintenance, upgrades and repairs in order to improve performance, security and compliance.
• Conduct/participates on the regular security review and audit on existing network, voice and data communications (on premise or cloud based)
• Assess potential group network risks and technical challenges and prepare appropriate mitigation plans.
• Conduct VA remediation and corrective action.
• Ensure IT network security compliance is implemented and maintained on the end users devices
• Perform regular (quarterly) ISMS drive
• Conduct VA remediation and corrective action.
• Prepare budget presentation for network equipment, telephony and assembly cost.
• Manages and maintains the inventory of network (including IP addresses, NACL, block and white listing, router, switches, firewall, wifi configuration and settings,and associated hardware, data communications, and software related assets including paper or digital license.
• Maintain problem documentation and resolution procedures for reference.
• Writes procedures and work/user instructions related to his area of operation
• Supervises technical support for firewall policies, configuration changes and patch updates
• Performs technical support for O&M’s Continuous Threat and
• Detection (CTD) system
• Ensures the support for O&M’s compliance to OT Security standards and OT Security policies, guidelines and procedures
• OT vulnerability assessment (VA) and remediation support
• Ensures the efficient change and transition of configuration items for all network equipment and infrastructure links (switches, routers, wi-fi access points, fiber optics).
• Ensures the optimum performance, reliability and availability of the Thermal BU managed network at all sites
• Ensures licenses, service contracts and subscriptions related to
• OT are compiled with the vendor/service providers.

• Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following courses - Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, Computer Engineering or Electronics and Communications Engineering
• At least 4 years’ experience LAN/WAN software and hardware
• Have adequate background on IT Systems and Network Administration, and Information Security Architecture.
• Experience in IT (preferably Cyber Security) of a Power Plant and/or related industry is an advantage
• Supervisory Skills an advantage
• At least 1-2 Project Executed
• Understanding in OSI Layer, ISO 27001, ISMS. CCNA certification is a plus factor
• Willing to travel to Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao sites.
