SCADA Engineer  

The SCADA Engineer is responsible for the OMD automation projects, including conceptualization and development of SCADA system, provides OMD technical support, and manages technological obsolescence.

Specific Duties And Responsibilities :

1. Conceptualizes & designs SCADA system
2. Prepares SCADA diagrams
3. SCADA and HMI Panel configuration
4. Maintain a database of SCADA design & configuration
5. Assist OMD for resolution of SCADA troubles & troubleshooting
6. Ensure to manage technological obsolescence (hardware and software)
7. Coordination with PLC Engineer and with Protection Engineer for the required data to be interfaced with the SCADA and HMI Panel applications
8. Coordination with IT Department for the connection of the SCADA PC and HMI panel to the network infrastructure.
9. Prepares annual PAC plan and schedules
10. Prepare SCADA-related critical spares.
11. Carry out related works according to applicable standards and practice.
12. Prepares accomplishment reports and observations and makes the necessary recommendations for improvement.
13. Assists in the preparation of annual budgets. Monitor and implement approved budget within his scope of work.
14. Ensure diagnostics are according to best practices and standards. Recommend actions plans if necessary.
15. Assists in administration of asset condition assessment and monitors status.
16. Make sure the maximization and utilization of Maximo functions.
17. Site supervision of asset maintenance when necessary.
18. Provides technical support/data for regulatory requirements.
19. Provides consistent, timely and high quality work.
20. Ensure positive work relations in electrical, customers and to the whole group.

1. Ensures that the department conforms to the company’s Integrated Management Systems policies, standards, procedures and guidelines.
2. Ensures that the corresponding processes within the controllable functions are delivering their intended outputs.
3. Ensures the promotion of customer focus throughout the organization.
4. Ensures that the integrity of the quality management system is maintained when changes to the quality management system are planned and implemented.
5. Reports any Integrated Management System events/incidents or potential events or other risks to the organization.
6. Protects information assets from unauthorized access, disclosure, modification, destruction or interference.
7. Performs any other related duties and responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time by immediate superior consistent with the purpose of this role.

• Preferably license EE or ECE, BS IT or equivalent
• Microsoft Office Literate. SCADA Experience. Knowledge in PLC, graphics design, hydro operation.
• Project Experience: At least six (6) months
• Professional: At least one (1) year of related experience
• Strong analytical and planning skills;
• Good communication and presentation skills;
• Excellent problem-solving skills;
