Safety, Health, and Environmental Manager | Cayanga, Bugallon, Pangasinan  

Will be responsible for carrying out all the company’s Environmental, Health, and Safety goals and objectives of promoting, creating, and maintaining compliance to EHS rules and regulations. The position ensures the implementation of EHS programs to protect and preserve the environment and safeguard the health and safety of the employees and the company.

• Provides overall management of all programs and initiatives of PV Sinag group towards its Occupational Safety and Health activities.
• Leads, improves, and ensures that all corporate OSH systems and activities are aligned with the directives and initiatives of AboitizPower, if found applicable in the current set-up
• Ensures the compliance of facilities to legal requirements.
• Represents the company in national level program and policy formulations.
• Establishes the company (and industry) positions as part of the government and industry influencing process.
• Leads OSH and O&M technical studies involving: EIS, HAZOP, HAZID, risk assessments, feasibility and scoping studies, etc.
• Participates in the AP SHEQ Steering Committee in coordinating the efforts of 1AP harmonization of governance, programs and initiatives.
• Leads the identification of OSH challenges and recommends best possible solutions.
• Manage the environment, health and safety units through constant monitoring, checking and validation of activities done.
• Regularly reviews EHS standards and communicates with EHS regulators and Legal department to avoid Notice of Violation.
• Ensures renewal of EHS permits and licenses and constantly monitors to avoid fines and penalties.
• Conducts proper implementation of EHS policies and management programs through guidance and advisory, orientation and communications to ensure employee participation.
• Check and monitor the effectiveness of EHS management programs through Plant inspection, audit and validation if properly implemented.
• Maintain constant updating of EHS activities to Management through regular reporting to ensure that EHS activities are communicated.
• Coordinate with other functional teams through written and verbal communications to address EHSS non-compliance issues.
• Prepare summary of EHSS Plans, Programs, incident reports, accomplishment reports and apply mitigation/ innovations to succeeding programs.
• Analyze EHSS data by comparing with standards and recommend action plans.
• Recommend, plan and implement EHSS programs that are in line with the corporate goal of attaining World Class Status.
• Ensure participation and support to the initiatives of government regulators to maintain the good reputation of the company.
• Prepare and summarize EHS budget to optimize resources and maintain compliance.
• Perform other related duties and responsibilities that may be assigned by his/her immediate superior.

• Must be a Bachelor’s degree holder relevant to the job, preferably in Environmental Science/ Environmental Engineering/ Environmental Management/ Chemical Engineering/ Forestry
• Preferably holds Post Graduate Diploma/ Master’s Degree
• Must have completed the 40-hour Basic Occupational Safety and Health Training Course as prescribed by the Bureau of Working Conditions
• With experience in dealing with government agencies (e.g. LGUs, DENR, Brgy and Municipal Offices).
• Knowledgeable of environmental laws
• Preferably with PCO accreditation issued by DENR
• With at least 5 years of managerial experience
• With at least 7 years of relevant experience in the field of Environment, Safety, and Health Management
