Job Description

Provides guidance on electrical technical and design issues in the construction sites and ensures that all design issues and unexpected technical problems arising from the construction sites are promptly documented, reported and coordinated with the project execution team.

Provide assistance to the Project Manager in ensuring the coordination of the day-to-day electrical construction operations and coordination of the activities of the other members of the project management team.

  • Exercise authority over the work area from time to time as delegated by the Project Manager
  • Check drawings and quantities and ensure the accuracy of calculations
  • Evaluate and process inspection requests from the Contractor, in collaboration with the Project Manager
  • Monitor compliance with the Contractor’s site-specific health and safety (H&S) requirements. Remain alert to H&S avoidance, isolation and minimization and bring any matters of potential concern to Contractor’s attention
  • Inspect site safety conditions and inform the Contractor of any construction safety violation; provide follow-up action if required in coordination with the Safety Engineer
  • Report on a routine weekly basis project progress to the Project Manager, using standard report form
  • Coordinate and guide activities of Electrical Works site engineers
  • Review contractors quantity calculations monthly progress payment claims
  • Leverage engineering experience to provide advice on site related technical matters
  • Attend all meetings with the Contractor
  • Ensure that the culture of the project staff is aligned with the core values of Aboitiz Power and the community
  • Ensure that the safety and the security of the Project staff and Aboitiz Power assets are maintained and protected to the highest standards
  • Train, develop, guide & mentor subordinates
  • Conforms to the company’s Quality, Environmental, Occupational Health and Safety and Information Security Management Systems policies, standards, procedures and guidelines based on ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 and ISO 27001 Standards
  • Report Environmental, Occupational Health and Safety and Information Security events/incidents or potential events or other security risks to the organization
  • Protect information assets from unauthorized access, disclosure, modification, destruction or interference.
    • Ensure that field and office data, forms, contract documents, manuals, books and all other classified documents are secured and are in safe storages.
    • Maintain confidentiality and integrity of project cost estimates, budgets, and cost reports.
    • Maintains that respective computers assigned are password protected.
  • Submit weekly and monthly project status reports and change orders
  • Ensures that work under their control is carried out safely and without risks to health
  • Comply with requirements outlined in environmental management plan
  • Report to Project Management Team on contractor’s performances and project issues and generate reports as required
  • Oversees field activities and provides daily updates to Project Management Team on work progress
  • Coordinates inspections with the QA/QC Engineer and the contractor and authorities as required by the contract
  • Inspects false work for conformance to design drawings.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be a Licensed Electrical Engineer
  • With excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project)
  • Knowledgeable on electrical planning, designing, electrical construction operations and site inspection
  • Preferably at least four (4) years of related work experience
  • With at least three (3) years of leadership experience
  • With at least two (2) years of project experience
  • 1 vacant position available in Kibungan, Benguet
