Job Description
Will be responsible for the for the operation and maintenance of Company’s base radio & modem equipment; receives, relays/transmits messages to and from different stations; maintains files and records pertaining to radio communications.
- Operates and maintains the company's base radio and modem equipment.
- Receives, relays, transmits all messages to and from different points of contact.
- Compiles and maintains systematic filing of all incoming and outgoing messages received and transmitted.
- Propagates frequency feasible for existing radio network system; keep watch on other radio stations through the Network Watch.
- Regulates/controls air traffic to ensure smooth flow of communication from and to different stations; establish contacts and modulation to far stations by using high-frequency transceivers; monitor/check working conditions of transceivers including repeater systems within the network.
- Maintains and updates all radio records, logbooks, and files pertaining to radio communications in accordance with the requirements of the telecommunication control bureau.
- Attends to station licenses renewal.
- Monitors the proper assignment of communication equipment to comply with the regulations of the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC).
- Receives and transmits generation data from hydro plants when the repeater system is down.
- Repairs/troubleshoots busted power supplies and communication equipment.
- Maintains the company’s telephone system.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be a Licensed First Class Radio Operator
- Preferably a graduate of General Radio Communications Operator and/or Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering
- With background and experience in troubleshooting communication equipment
- With at least one (1) year of related work experience.
