Job Description
- The position is responsible for the maintenance and safety measures of the power plant electrical, instrumentation and control equipment in accordance with the guidance, instruction and direction of the Maintenance Manager. The position is also responsible for the supervision of the design and installation of plant electrical systems and equipment ensuring reliability, maximum efficiency and safety in operations. Acts as support on the electrical requirements of the Operations Department and does special project requirements.
- Cascades the tool box meeting result spearheaded by the
Maintenance Manager with the electrical personnel to review past day’s performance to ensure solutions to problems encountered on electrical issues. - Analyzes temperature, insulation and electrical tests by monitoring condition of the main generators in order to prevent unexpected breakdowns.
- Ensures proper and timely maintenance of the instruments by monitoring the activities of the Electrical Engineers and Electrical and Instrumentation Engineers.
- Analyzes priority jobs on instrumentation and electrical maintenance for delegation to the Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer and/or Electrical Engineer.
- Provides relevant inputs and advices during switching of circuit power breakers in order to restore power during power interruptions.
- Identifies the contributory factors and recommends appropriate actions in the event of high station consumption.
- Prepares the electrical monthly report such as major preventive maintenance schedules, unusual activities for the approval of the Maintenance Manager.
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduate of Electrical or Electronics Engineer Registered Engineer with professional certification
- Must be a licensed Electrical or Electronics Engineer
- At least 5 years related experience in power industry with 2-3 years leadership experience
- Strong analytical and planning skills
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills
