Job Description
The position is responsible for identifying, analyzing, evaluating and improving processes related to the proper functioning of the Business Unit
Responsibilities
Business Process Documentation
- Establishes documentation standards for the maintenance of the electronic and hard copies of the documents’/records
- Coordinates with the SPOCs for the creation of the detailed documentation of the business and/or systems processes
- Provides support to the various departments in the implementation of new/enhanced processes
- Work closely with the SPOCs and Process owners in resolving issues about the existing documentation
Business Process Analysis
- Reviews and analyzes work methods and practices
- Coordinates with the concerned Process owners in securing the data needed for analysis
- Uses the management tools (SWOT analysis, QC Tools) in evaluating the efficiency of the Business Unit, its utilization of resources, its processes and its output
- Assesses the impact of the process on revenue, productivity and governance
Business Process Evaluation
- Identifies existing practices that requires detailed documentation
- Ensures that the identified processes are measurable in terms of deliverables and other metrics
- Identifies the process gaps or unnecessary practices that deter the optimal use of resources
- Looks for new opportunities that may be undertaken as a project (e.g. automation)
Business Process Improvement
- Proposes process improvements that are best suited and viable to the business or project
- Prepares the business plan on the proposed improvement plans, including the design, test, implementation and post-implementation stages.
- Evaluates the effectiveness of the existing practices and projects for further improvement
- Performs other related duties and responsibilities that may be assigned by his/her immediate superior.
Minimum Qualifications
- Professional experience of at least 2 years experience in the manufacturing industry or in business process management
- Educational Attainment : College Graduate preferably graduate of any Engineering course
