Job Description
The position is responsible for representing the Coal BU and maintaining a constructive presence and foster mutually beneficial relationships between relevant government institutions, agencies, and Coal BU.
The position aims to guide and support the Coal BU, its sites and functions in developing and execution of strategies with external stakeholders, manage/resolve critical issues and gather information relevant to the business operations.
Job Description:
- Foster and sustain relationships with relevant LGU, Agencies and Institutions, associations, and other business leaders to compliment and facilitate the short and long-term business strategies of the Company.
- Work with functional and operational units to contribute to, and advocate (at the local and regional level) proactive policy positions and execute corrective legislative and regulatory strategies.
- Establish relations to build and lead coalitions with NGO’s, businesses and interest groups on issues of common concern.
- Guide and support Coal BU functional and operational units with the resolution of technical, organizational and political conflict through effective issues and stakeholder management.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders to garner an understanding of their needs, set expectations and ensure outcomes.
- Regularly collaborate with AEV Gov Rel and other relevant internal support units and contribute to the development and implementation of governmental and public affairs strategies.
- Represents the company publicly at meetings, programs, and project implementation events and other activities.
- For assigned key stakeholders - Liaise with Coal BU operations and maintenance team and the community in managing situations when certain plant activities would cause discomfort or disturbance to the community.
- Performs other related duties and responsibilities that may be assigned by his/her immediate superior.
Minimum Qualifications
- At least 5 to 7 years related experience
- 3 to 5 years of leadership experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Communication Arts/Organizational Communication
