Job Description
CTR Business Control:
- Summarizes current financial status by collecting information; preparing vital figures and do validation and verification for Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and other reports.
- Substantiates financial transactions by auditing documents. Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
- Answers accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting accounting policy and regulations.
- Complies with tax statutory and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new tax legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.
- Prepares special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
Assistance to Accounting Related:
- Manage special transactions and coordinate with parties involved in the process
- Formulate appropriate action for other Accounting- Related Open Issues and Concerns
- Resolution of pending items of AFS 2017 and Finalize Revenue-Related Open Issues
- Validate completeness of the application of Additional Compensation for 2017 & 2018
Assistance to Tax Related:
- Lead VAT and energy reconciliation – in coordination with the Tax Team and Accounting Specialist for the following customers: a.) Distribution Utilities b.) PSALM c.) NGCP d.) PEZA
- Bring to conclusion pending tax issues
Policies and Procedures:
- Responsible for ensuring full documentation and updating of Controllership’s existing policies and procedures to the newly implemented streamlined processes
- Work with Finance and Accounting team to evaluate, perform due diligence, implement and maintain effective system of internal control in compliance to Group’s Internal Audit Control Standards.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor in Accountancy
- Professional qualification such as CPA or CMA is a must
- At least 3-5 yrs in a related position
