Data Privacy Compliance Officer mission is to oversee and manage the AP Corporate Data Privacy Program, ensuring that all aspects of data handling and processing comply with relevant regulations, industry standards, and best practices. The role is pivotal in safeguarding the privacy and security of sensitive information, fostering trust with partners and stakeholders, and mitigating potential risks associated with data breaches or non-compliance.
COP acts as the deputy Data Protection Officer and should actively coordinate and consult with the supervising Data Protection Officer. Data Protection Officergenerally oversees the operations of the COP to ensure the performance of his/her functions, efficiently and economically, but without interference with day-to-day activities.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, or Industrial Engineering
- 3-5 years of Data Privacy Management or Project Management Experience
- Preferably has obtained trainings or certification in the Philippine Data Privacy Act, General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Project Management methodologies (waterfall or agile), Risk Management techniques
- Must have a good understanding of Philippine data protection laws like the Data Privacy Act of 2012 is crucial.
- Familiarity with data protection technologies such as encryption, firewalls, endpoint protection, storage with built-in data protection, and access controls is essential.
- Competent in handling and managing data breaches or privacy incidents effectively.
