Job Description

  • The Network and Telephony Supervisor performs functions such as provisioning, installation/configuration, operation and maintenance of the IT Network and Telephony infrastructure related systems i.e LAN, WAN, SDWAN, Telephony, Leased Circuits, Internet and Cloud connectivity. This individual participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within Infrastructure. This individual will be the contract representative of the Network & Telephony Infrastructure contracts, monitoring the day to day delivery of agreed contract scope, SLA and KPIs.

  • Primary role of the Network and Telephony Supervisor is to monitor and manage the APC LAN,WLAN, 1AP WAN/SDWAN, Telephony and all other assigned IT infrastructure services as well as coordination with 3rd party vendors, service providers and suppliers to ensure maximum availability and acceptable performance of the IT Infrastructure are delivered according to the agreed KPIs and SLAs. Reporting deviations from agreed targets, collecting feedback from the users, reporting the user experience and escalating serious service incidents that threaten business continuity to the Incident Management Team and taking part in incident and problem resolution.

  • The Network and Telephony Supervisor also ensures system hardware, firmware, operating systems and management systems are compliant to security standards and processes of the organization.

  • The Network and Telephony Supervisor supports the IT Infrastructure Service Delivery Manager in the administration of IT Infrastructure Managed Services Contract ensuring services are delivered, service requests are approved, service receipts are confirmed and payments are authorized.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Strong analytical and planning skills;
  • Good communication and presentation skills;
  • Excellent problem-solving skills;
  • At least 5 years experience in a systems administration, network or other IT infrastructure related role

  • At least 3 years supervisory role in Infrastructure Operations and Maintenance

  • At least 3 year experience as a project team member of any IT infrastructure related project

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or any 4-year related course

  • ITIL V4 foundation is required, Cisco Certified Network Professional(CCNP) Other industry Certifications/ Trainings on specific IT technologies/platforms indicated example Azure, AWS, GCP are a plus but not required
