Job Description
The Specialist for Environmental Management (EM) is responsible for the following:
- Providing support in the design of EM governance tobuild and sustain a pro-active environment managementculture
- Providing support in the implementation of EM programs. and recommending improvements to align BU EM programs with the established 1AP EM programs
- Evaluating the effectiveness of environmental compliance programs and corporate standards through audits and regular performance assessments.
- Assisting and coordinating with BU Envi focal points in Environment-related Stakeholder engagement activities
- Performs audits of the environmental and/or sustainability performance to determine adequacy of procedures and non-compliance/conformance issues
- Provides support to the facilities in the implementation of corporate-driven EM initiatives
- Evaluates compliance with environmental regulations and conformance to environmental and sustainability standards.
- Prepares and coordinates environmental and/or sustainability performance reports (i.e. Global Reporting Initiative - GRI) relative to established metrics for communication to internal management, regulatory and stakeholder groups.
- Delivers training programs on environmental reporting, environmental recording and/or environmental management systems
Minimum Qualifications
- Strong analytical and planning skills;
- Good communication and presentation skills;
- Excellent problem-solving skills;
- With at least 2-3 years of relevant experience
- Project Management experience is a plus
- Preferably accredited PCO (Pollution Control Officer )
- Industry: energy/power, oil, and gas, chemical, or manufacturing companies (Pharmaceutical or Semiconductor) - multinational/big companies
- Knowledgeable with Google platforms
