Job Description
This position is responsible for providing support in energy market analysis and accurate energy market forecasts used by various groups in AboitizPower as a key input to commercial decision making and long-term planning. This may include developing, maintaining, and continually reviewing market models. S/he will also be assisting in evaluating the effectiveness of software and other forecasting tools to ensure that they are efficient and aligned with the goals of the team.
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduate of Economics, Business Management, or any Engineering or Math-related course
- Preferably has at least one year of exprience in Energy Economics and/or Energy Trading, or Energy Products;
- Preferably has experience in electricity market modeling using forecast tools or statistical price modeling (i.e. EMCAS, Marketsym, Aurora, Plexos, R, etc.)
- Strong analytical and planning skills;
- Good communication and presentation skills;
- Excellent problem-solving skills
