Job Description
The Meteorologist is responsible for using scientific principles to explain, understand, observe, and forecast the weather. In addition to forecasting, the Met is also responsible for studying the impact of weather on the environment, and how it can impact business and communities. He/she will work closely with the Product Development Team in developing weather-related solutions and applications.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Developing and improving numerical and computer models to predict and improve accuracy of forecast
- Providing support and assistance to Product Development and Business Development teams to develop and create weather-related solutions and apps
- Coding weather reports; providing timely and accurate meteorological reports and services to stakeholders and partners
- Analyzing and presenting information to customers, partners in the form of weather briefings
- Conducting weather-related training (eg. Weather 101/TC 101) whenever necessary
Minimum Qualifications
- Preferably with a Bachelor's degree in Meteorology or Atmospheric Science
- May also possess equivalent degrees in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Environmental Science, Physics
- Willing to be based in Taguig City
