Procurement Specialist

Job Description

The Procurement Specialist is responsible for providing Procure to Pay (P2P) services, which includes sourcing, buying, and expediting goods and materials and services that result in the timely delivery of equipment and materials at the most effective cost to meet business needs.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Provide contract finalization and implementation support for one-time contracts, new contracts, contract renewal, or amendment
  • Manage and implement the pre/re-qualification process to ensure all suppliers will satisfy LWC corporate standards on financial, quality, and compliance


  • Create and maintain user profiles, approve user profile requests including role additions/changes and approval authority levels in accordance with established controls
  • Perform user access review and other ad hoc customer-initiated requests for profile reviews
  • Train and assist users and suppliers in accessing and using supply chain systems

Order Management

  • Prepare Purchase Orders (PO) and monitor the delivery status of open PO line items

  • Keep the internal customers informed of the status of their purchase requisitions


  • Review material/service requisitions submitted by the business unit, generate a list of purchase order/service order requisitions and perform verification against applicable supporting documents to meet the terms and conditions of the contract
  • Canvass material/service requisitions with different suppliers and prepare Purchase Order based on approved price
  • Coordinate with the internal customer for the technical and complex specifications of the materials and supplies
  • Update prices of material/service and negotiate for best possible price for all purchases
  • Ensure that materials/services are delivered as ordered and are within the right quantity and quality as specified by the requisitioner


  • Manage material master records
  • Interact with internal stakeholders by responding to procurement and technical queries related to material master data use

Data Analysis and Insights

  • Analyze high-volume purchases and develop long-term partnerships with suppliers capable of providing quality materials and services at the most reasonable cost
  • Implement and evaluate P2P processes and recommend process improvements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in buying/buyer process/procurement/supply chain function
  • Knowledge in the procurement process, contracting, e-Sourcing, contract administration, and eProcurement
  • Knowledge in ERP tools such as SAP/JDE an advantage
  • Diploma/Certificate in Procurement/Supply Chain Management an advantage
  • Willing to be assigned in Lipa, Batangas
