Data Privacy Officer  

The Data Privacy Officer oversees organization’s compliance, internal controls and ensures that all data processing is meeting all security obligations. Maintains comprehensive and up to date knowledge of both corporate operations and privacy laws, as well as communicating details of the company’s privacy policy to employees.

• Develops and implements the organization’s Data Privacy Policy.
• Maintains current knowledge of applicable global privacy regulations as well as accreditation standards, monitors advancement in information privacy technologies to ensure ACJ’s adaptation and compliance.
• Ensure strategic and tactical focus on a range of privacy and data protection issues at the international, national, local and enterprise levels.
• Assist in the establishment of an organization-wide Privacy Oversight Committee.
• Trains and advise employees on the provisions of the Data Privacy Act
• Identifies and monitors the data processors whilst at work, ensuring that they deal with data in a manner consistent with data protection principles.
• Performs initial and periodic information privacy risk assessments and conducts related ongoing compliance monitoring activities in coordination with other operations and compliance functions.
• Ensures compliance with privacy practices and consistent application of sanctions for failure to comply with privacy policies for all individuals in the organization’s workforce, and for all business partners, in cooperation with HR, IT and legal counsel as applicable.
• Initiates, facilitates and promotes activities to foster information privacy awareness within ACJ and related entities.
• Reviews all system-system related information security plans throughout the ACJ network to ensure alignment between security and privacy practices.
• Process and respond to all requests for information by data subjects.

• A graduate of any Bachelor’s Degree but preferably related to Law or IT.
• Minimum of 8 years work experience in privacy & risk environment with deep knowledge and experience of operationalizing privacy and data protection framework, principles and programs.
• Experience in data privacy and control in Retail/E-Commerce/Media Industry is an advantage.
• Must have strong knowledge of privacy and security best practices used in industries that require the highest level of customer data protection.
• Demonstrates significant compliance in an organization, as well as excellent understanding of the regulatory, society and economic trends.
• Excellent communication, both written and verbal through presentations and individual discussions with all levels in the organization.
• Strong problem-solving skills that are pragmatic, which demonstrates a strong understanding of business processes and information systems.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence individuals at all levels in the organization. Experience in managing line managers to drive sustainable change and get an alignment of functional resources.
• Highly proficient in MS Office applications.
• Preferably lives near Bonifacio Global City.
