Senior Systems Administrator  

The System Administrator (SA) is responsible for effective provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of cloud and in-house systems and related infrastructure.

Participation on projects for this individual will be focused on smoothing the transition of projects from development team to production team by performing operations activities within the project life-cycle. This individual will also be accountable for supporting the current systems of the company.

• Perform system administration in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Administer cloud-based solutions, including monitoring computing resource utilization, patch management, maintaining security posture, and user administration.
• Perform help desk support.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve system problems
• Create and maintain documentation and processes for troubleshooting, maintaining, and configuring systems.
• Build and maintain effective long-term relationships with internal and external customers and suppliers.
• Configure, monitor, and maintain email applications, virus protection software, and other software.
• Create and maintain software inventory.
• Perform data backup, System Image, and disaster recovery operations.
• Perform all other duties assigned by the IT Manager.

• At least a Bachelor's/College degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or its equivalent.
• At least 4 years of work experience in the related field.
• Preferably 1-4 years of experience specializing in IT/Computer - Network/System/Database Admin or its equivalent.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in:
  • System administration
  • Help desk support
  • Managing Oracle, SQL/MySQL Server – DB backup/restoration
• Proven experience in managing domain controllers such as Windows Server 2008-2012 or Zentyal.
• Analytical and commercial experience
• Strong English written and oral communication skills.
• Has initiative and can work with minimal supervision
• Ability to work in a team.
• Ability to secure application and data against theft, loss, or other disasters.
• Willing to work long and outside normal business hours as needed.
• Eye for detail and identifying problems.
• An understanding of business processes in the retail industry.

Preferred

• Comptia A+ Certified
• Linux/Unix knowledge
• Avaya Basic Support experience
• Managing virtual servers via Amazon Cloud (AWS)
• Experience in Google Suite administration
• AVAYA administration
